It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rhoda Herald of Versailles, Illinois, born in Beardstown, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Dean, Sr. and Daisy Bell Jackson Ruyle; and her brother Ronald Ruyle, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband David Herald of Versailles; her daughters, Dusty Gustafson (Bob) of Mt. Sterling and Danielle Hannig (Chad) of Versailles; her grandchildren, Lane Herald (Makayla) of Mt. Sterling, Cale of Versailles and Callie Hannig of Versailles; her sisters, Tena Hutton (Steve) of Bluffs and Lila Spradlin (John) of Meredosia, Illinois.; and her mother-in-law Jeanette Herald of Versailles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The state of Illinois has mandated that those attending the visitation or services wear a mask.
Memorials are suggested to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or St. Mary's School.
