She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Coats and Ann Gibson Coats; her spouse Vernard Surratt; her daughter Edna Ann Surratt; and her sisters, Anola Armstrong, Ivy Habib, Sally Ford and Olga Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Brown of Versailles, Connie Barrow (Danny) of Mt. Sterling and Patricia Sexton (Bud) of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Danny Miller (Heidi), Kristen Castro (Felix), Alana Brown (Austin Boehs), Alexa Rayborn (Jon), Amanda Barrow (Aric Howe), Buddy Sexton (Sarah Scheerer) and Davey Sexton (Miranda Smith); her great grandchildren, Jaden, Chloe, Gracie, Brantley, Arya and Lennox; and her brothers, Franklin Coats and David Coats.
