She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Remer and Shirley Remer (Cullings); and her siblings, Beth Beres, Debbie Saxon and Mark Remer.
She is survived by: her children, Sarah Akins of Marseilles and Richard Akins Jr. of Morris; her grandchildren, Kat (Akins) and Alexis Miller; her great grandchild Xavier Miller; her sister Patti Hall (Richard) of Florida; and her friend Patrick Messersmith.
