It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavina Ellen Nelson of Vernon Hills, Illinois, born in Edina, Missouri, who passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James; her daughters, Jennifer and Julene; her mother Loretta; and her siblings, Betty and Junior (Francis).
She is survived by: her children, Tim (LeaAnn), Dan (Cristine), Matt (Sandra), Jill Casanova (Jeff) and Samantha Churak (Mike); her grandchildren, Melinda, Shauna (Andrew), Joey, Eric, Meagan, Michael (Devon), Ashley (Dave), Coda (Lauren), Amber (James), Max, Alyssa, Zachary, Jacob, Nicholas and Luke; her great grandchildren, Caidan, Evelyn, Hailey, Alana, Liam, Giovanni and Leila; and her friends, Kathy Donato and Penny Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name can be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
