It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Smith of Vernon Hills, Illinois, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Smith and Eunice Smith; and his siblings, Beverly, Naomi, Bonnie, Duane, Jean and Charlie.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean; his sons, Nathaniel and Daniel (Amy); his grandchildren, Ian, Abby, Emily, Liam, Caroline and Allison; his sister Esther; and his caregiver Crystal.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:25 AM at the Saint Mary of Vernon Catholic Church (236 US-45, Indian Creek, IL 60061). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Boys Town Charity, 14100 Crawford Street Boys Town, NE 68010, would be greatly appreciated.
