He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alexander Green and Mary Margaret Green (Murphy); his wife Barbara Green (Mersch); and his siblings, Nancy and Donald.

He is survived by: his children, Todd Karner (Julie Babetch) and Kelley Skaarva (Green).

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Drake and Son Funeral Home (5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625). A prayer will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Henry Catholic Cemetery (1929 W Devon Ave, Chicago, IL 60660).
