Helen L. Smithers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2020, at the age of 92, Helen L. Smithers of Vermilion, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Miller and Eula Miller (Kemper); her husband Vernon E. Smithers; her brother Kenneth Miller; and her stepdaughter Janet.
She is survived by: her nephew Mike Miller (Dianna) of Paris; her nieces, Lisa Utterback (Paul) of Indianapolis and Donna Jones (Brian) of Auburn, Illinois; her sister-in-law Alice Miller of Vermilion; and her stepchildren, Sandra Carter of New York, Susan of Arizona, Vernon of New York and Stephen Smithers of New York. She is also survived by seven great-nephews and one great-niece.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Vermilion United Methodist Church.
