He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Rick and Irene Wallimann Rick; his wife Ruth; his siblings, Edward Rick and Helen Daniels; and his uncle Walter Wallimann.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Rick of Louisiana, MO and Sharon Benz (Lloyd) of Varna, IL; his grandchildren, Gary Benz (Laura Lenz) of Lacon, IL, Kevin Benz (Ginger) of Lacon, IL and Sandy Harber (Rockie) of Lacon, IL; his great grandchildren, Jessica Button, Morgan Nelson (Brad), Cody Benz (Marnae Hunt), Sadie Benz and Devin Benz; and his great great grandchildren, Hadley Button, Lucas Cajthaml and Renlee Benz.
