He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin H. Beer and Jane Beer (Lewis); his son James Beer; and his sister Joan Humphress. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Matta (Greg) of Kennesaw, GA; his grandchildren, Sarah Matta (Dimitri) of Acworth, GA, Michael Matta (Elisabeth) of Fort Meyers, FL and Savannah Beer of Toluca, IL; his great grandchild Tyson Matta of Acworth, GA; and his sisters, Jeanette Wagner of Roanoke, IL. and Judy Blunier of Roanoke, IL..
