With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wallace Lape (Vandalia, Illinois), born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2019 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Lape and Rhoda Lape (Hunter); his spouse Shirley Stewart (Stokes); his daughter Nancy Lape; his stepson Norman "Huey" Stewart; and his siblings, Sue Dugan, Lou Berry, Marie Hodson, Millard, Paul, Charles and Steve Lape.
He is survived by: his daughters, Crystal (Kevin Aukamp) of Vandalia and Pam Riggs of Shelbyville; and his stepson David Stewart (Vicki) of Effingham. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
