He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd E. and Betty J. Hicks Sr. (Robertson); and his siblings, Floyd "Butch" Hicks Jr., Patrick Hicks and Alma Torbeck.

He is survived by: his pet Chewie; his daughter Rebecca Ritchey; and his siblings, Randy Hicks (Patsy Tinker), Terry Hicks (Sherry), Michael Hicks (Cyndi), Howard Hicks (Ashley), Brian Robertson (Christy), Cheryl (Edward "Brian" Tedrick), Mary McNealy, Tonya Hicks, Tina Bennish, Jennifer (Jason Hill) and Michelle (Richard Temples). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
