He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony "Jerry" and Marie Catherine Givens (Borgers); his wife Mary Ann Simmons; and his siblings, Pat Cross and Terry Joe Givens.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle (John Wehrle) of Vandalia, Tom Givens Jr. (Rebecca Clemens-Givens) of Mt. Vernon, David Givens (Audrey) of Vandalia and Gary Givens (Stephanie) of Robinson; and his grandchildren, John Wehrle, James Wehrle, Justin Wehrle, Julie Moran, Tiffany Beccue, Stephanie Givens, Shawn Givens, Brittany Domenech, Sonnie Givens and Hunter Givens. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
