She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Jesse and Loretta Tate (Miller); her husband Donald M. "Don" Diveley; and her siblings, Earl Tate, George Tate and Wanda Tippitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Sam Diveley of Vandalia, Stanley Diveley (Karen) of Vandalia and Mark Diveley of Hickory, NC; her siblings, Gary Tate (Doris) of Vandalia and Linda Johnson of Vera; and her sister-in-law Thelma Tate of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be made to Vera Baptist Church, where Shirley was a lifelong member, to the Fayette County Cancer Fund, or to the Long Term Care Activity Fund.
