It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Melliges of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Marion, Illinois, who passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Valerie Bess Childers; and her siblings, John Frick and Mae Louise LaBotte. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Dye (John) of Yuma, AZ, Charles Melliges (Martha) of Fredericktown, MO and Patricia "Pam" Childers (Kevin) of Vandalia, IL; her grandchildren, John (Ola), Naples, Rebecca Levy (Andrew) of Fallbrook, CA, Carrie Harris (Rick) of Houston, TX, Stacey Reitzel (Mike) of Perryville, MO, Holly Newcom (Aaron) of Edwardsville, Bonnie Misselhorn (Clint) of Carterville, IL and Maggie Garver (Jacob) of Paris, IL; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole, Alex Dye, Ella, Josiah, Eli Levy, Blaine Harris, Jett, Cruz, Pylot Reitzel, Clark, Amos, Jay Newcom, Lincoln, Sullivan and Barrett Misselhorn; her siblings, William Frick (Sally) of Marion, IL and Marcella Randolph of Marion, IL; and her sister-in-law Melba Frick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
