He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Norman Virden. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Rhoades of Vandalia, IL; his children, Kevin Rhoades (Janette), Kelly Rhoades (Tamra) and Kathyrn Taylor (Paul); his sister Mabelene Virden of Vandalia, IL; his grandchildren, Afthan, Meghan, Taylor, Abigail, Scott, Matthew, Grant and Claudia; and his great grandchildren, Emmet, Lucas, Jackson, Rayland, Daniel and Samuel.
