It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Heimgartner of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Montgomery, Illinois, who passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raliegh Lee and Ora Mable McAfee (Dermint); her husband Robert Henry Heimgartner; her daughter Marian Wunderlich; her children-in-law, James Wunderlich and Sherri Heimgartner; her granddaughter Beth Ann Tappendorf; her brothers, Daniel, George, Harold, Leroy, Charles and Robert; and her siblings-in-law, Eileen, Rosalie, Jeanette, Elsie, Florence, Maycele, Lorna, Albrik, Ruben, Elroy and Duane.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Heimgartner (Brenda) of Rushford, MN, Gail Heimgartner (Julie) of Texico, IL, Donald Heimgartner (Denise) of Manson, IA, Timothy Heimgartner (Trina) of Marshalltown, IA, Stephen Heimgartner (Paula) of Worthington, MN, James Heimgartner (Kelli) of El Dorado, KS, Janice Tappendorf (Marvin) of Altamont, IL, Ruth Ann Smith (David) of Altamont, IL, Lenora Kazemba (Duane) of Jackson, MN and Diana Opfer (Nathan) of Vandalia, IL; her brothers, James Russel McAfee of Springfield, IL and Donald McAfee of Auburn, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Josephine McAfee, Patricia McAfee and Betty McAfee. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, and multiple nieces and nephews.
