He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Matzker and Millie Matzker (Gudehus). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Matzker of Vandalia; his children, Stephanie Matzker of Vandalia, Christina (Clayton Wright) of Kingsland, GA, Meagan Matzker (Jerrod Reed) of Effingham and Steven Matzker of Vandalia; his grandson Colin Reed of Effingham; and his siblings, Dean Matzker (Genny) of Vandalia, Bill Matzker (Cheryl) of O'Fallon, Marie (Keith Washburn) of Springfield, Cathy Diveley of Springfield and Rita (Rick King) of Springfield.
Due to the COVID-19 CDC and IDPH regulations and guidelines a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Mother of Dolors Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Scott Snider officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VCHS Wrestling Team.
