With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lela Lewis of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Tower Hill, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Ward and Ada Ward (Meyer); her husband Harry J. Lewis; and her siblings, Leila, Leonard, Lorene and Lloyd.
She is survived by: her children, Harry Lewis Jr. (Bea) of Acton, Maine, Mary (James Cramer) of Mt. Vernon and Lloyd Lewis (Deborah) of Greenville; her sisters, Livona Eagan of Mahomet and Loretta McKeighen of Dallas, Texas; and her grandchildren, James Lewis, Lisa (David Allis), Jason Lewis (Sheila), John Cramer (Michelle), Dennis Cramer (Sherri), Tim Lewis (Bess), Mark Lewis (Rachel) and Sarah (Neil Vanderkwaak). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or SBL FCH Long Term Care.
