He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Keppler and Thelma Keppler (Paradee); his wife Joan; his son David Keppler; his granddaughter Monica Kistler; his great grandchild Kayley DeFreese; his son-in-law David Kistler; and his siblings, Kenny, Larry, Mary and Betty.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Keppler (Monique) of Sherman, IL, Kevin Keppler (Shelly) of Vandalia and Brenda Kistler of Vandalia; and his siblings, Charles Keppler, Tom Keppler (Donna), Bill Keppler (Teresa), Juanita (Richard Musson), Norma (Frank Stinebring), Joann (Floyd Hopkins) and Helen Keppler. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an organization of the Donor's Choice.
