He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Bowen and Genevieve Bowen (Bryant); his wife Mary Lynn Williams; and his brothers, Gerald Ray Bowen and Robert "Bob" Bowen.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie (Jason Vicich) of Decatur and Alan Bowen (Krystine) of Charleston; his granddaughter Anna Lynn; his siblings, Leon Bowen (Patricia), Dean Bowen (Cheryl), Carole Guetersloh, Barbara Snyder, Sharon (Ron Thomason) and Susan (Steve Murfin); and his sister-in-law Ann Bowen. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
