It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Longwell of Vandalia, Illinois, who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alvin and Betty Mae Longwell Sr. (Garrett); and his siblings, Earl Longwell and Cathy McElroy. He is survived by: his wife Connie Longwell of Vandalia; his children, Michael Longwell of Vandalia, James "Darren" Longwell of Vandalia, Cory Longwell of Vandalia, Tracey Sarchet of Vandalia, Nicole Longwell (Kenny Thompson), Heather Longwell (Randy Vincent) and Amber Longwell (Timothy Cox); his siblings, Clarence Longwell of Nokomis, Leroy Longwell of Bingham, Steven Longwell of Greenville, Shirley Snider of Raymond and Linda Easley of Shobonier; his grandchildren, Breezy, Chloe, Steven, Cole, Jamie, Donavon, Bailey, Lexi, Tabby, Brayden, Sadie, Haley, Maddi, Tim Jr. and Teddy; and his great grandchild Bentley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Ltd. (204 N 4th St, Vandalia, IL 62471). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
