It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Garland of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Schram City, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Garland and Verna Garland (May); his son Jack D. Garland; and his sisters, Margie Rhodes, Mildred Evans and Jean Gallagher.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Louise Greer; his children, Doris (Gary Tate) of Vandalia, Carol Klitzing of Vandalia, Judy (Aaron Jones) of Philo, IL and Gregory Garland (Diane) of Champaign; and his daughter-in-law Melody Garland of White Heath, IL. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner Hospitals for Children, Special Olympics, or Glendale Cemetery.
