Gerald Gable Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2024, at the age of 92, Gerald Gable of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Shobonier, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Frederick and Matilda A. "Tillie" Gable (Schmid); and his siblings, Orville (Norma), Cecil (JoAnn), Evelyn (Edward), Charlotte (William), Ardis (Earl), Virginia (Norris) and Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Gable of Vandalia; his sons, Rocky Bennyhoff of Farina, Mike Hobler (Connie) of Vandalia and Ed Hobler (Lisa) of Vandalia; and his grandchildren, Michael, Angela (Matthew), Anna, Jonathon (Hunter), Erica (Michael), Lauren, Desiree (Greg) and Carley. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Fayette County Health Department or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
