It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Lee Doolen of Vandalia, Illinois, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Laymon and Lucille Doolen (Frisby). He is survived by: his fiancée Darlene Greenwood of Springfield, IL; his niece Christine Self (Gary); and his nephew David Carr (Teresa).
