With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Hemken of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Newark, Ohio, who passed away on February 26, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Marshall and Ethel Mae Lorance, Sr. (Tippett). She is survived by: her husband Willard Hemken of Vandalia, IL; her sons, Brian Hemken of Vandalia, IL and Scott Hemken of Witt, IL; and her siblings, Charlie Lorance, Jr. (Rose) of Jamestown, TN and Patricia Moore of Ramer, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Second Chance Rescue, 1332 N. 1150 St., Vandalia, IL 62471. The family asks that donations, to Second Chance Rescue, be made in lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, as animals, especially dogs, were very dear to Edna.
