He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman B. Carman and Grace V. Carman (Ogle); his spouse Ardith Ann Meador; his children, Curtis Carman and Karen Thoman; and his grandchildren, Anthony Workman and Gabrielle Harl.
He is survived by: his children, Connie (Mike Hobler) of Vandalia, Sandra (Troy Gibson) of Ramsey, Sherri (Scott Workman) of Vandalia, Trent Carman (Josie) of Highland and James Mollett (Jackie) of Highland; and his grandchildren, Michael Hobler, Angela (Matthew Graumenz), Michelle (Gage Murray), Danielle (Brad Lockart), Arielle (Dayne Huckaba), Chantelle Laskowski, David Gibson (Crystal), Derek Gibson (Allison), Bailee Workman (Cade), Ally Grace Carman and Jenna Carman. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Apostolic Revival Church of Highland.
