He is survived by: his wife Leotha Swofford of Vandalia; his children, Donald "Wayne" Swofford of Vandalia, Carolyn (Charles "Chuck" Anderson) of Ramsey and Donna (Scott Wright) of Vandalia; his stepchildren, LeaAnn (Dwayne Ritchey) of Vandalia and Robert Hamilton Jr. of Arkansas; his brother Harold Swofford of Hagarstown; his grandchildren, Bill Washburn, Bryan Washburn, Jason Shipley, J. R. Pepple, Kiley Whitten and Mindy DiBerardino; his great grandchildren, Brittany McNary, Dane Washburn, Madison Brown, Logan Whitten, Mallory Whitten, Katie Whitten, Lucy Whitten, Steven Walkup and Jennings Walkup; and his great great grandchildren, Collin and Carter McNary.
