It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delores L. Short of Vandalia, Illinois, born in Beckley, West Virginia, who passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Shatley and Arlie Shatley (Cecil); her son Larry Cox Jr.; and her siblings, Ralph Shatley and Carol Shatley.
She is survived by: her spouse Shirley Franklin Short; her children, Joanna Moseley of Vandalia, Cindy (Mohammed Khanani) of Streamwood, Teresa (Allen Matthews) of Brownstown, Jennifer White of Florida, Katie Cox and Daniel Cox; her siblings, Raymond, Jerry, Paul, Lloyd, Del Shatley and Rita Lilly; and her grandchildren, Lucas White, Christopher White, Andy Daley, Steven Daley, Jada Moseley, Akib Khanani, Anam Khanani, Afra Khanani, Samantha Matthews, Nathan Matthews and Johnathan Matthews. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
