He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Wilhelm and Mabel Emma Maria Michel (Rubin); and his brothers, Bill and Bob Michel. He is survived by: his wife Linda Michel; his children, Dan B. Michel, Patrick Michel and Molly Kirk (Mark); his grandchildren, Joe Kirk, Lorin, Dana Kern and Craig; his great grandchildren, Max, Hank, Gus and Halle; his sisters-in-law, Elaine Michel of Vandalia, IL and Martha Michel of Vandalia, IL; and his pet Ruby.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (726 W Fillmore St, Vandalia, IL 62471). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church and/or the Vandalia Volunteer Fire Department.
