He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Hoffman and Audrey Hoffman (Tedrick); his wife Patricia Mae Lewis; his siblings, Wayne Hoffman (Beverly) and Carolyn (Floyd McCain); his brothers-in-law, Donald McCain and Michael Lewis (Nancy); and his nephews, Kevin Hoffman, Clifford Hoffman and Timothy Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, David Hoffman (Tanya) of Vandalia and Teresa (James Fox) of Plainfield; his siblings, Delbert Hoffman of Vandalia and Janet McCain of Vandalia; his grandchildren, Ryan Roggelin, Justin Roggelin, Brennen Hoffman, Catti Hoffman and Kaven Hoffman; and his nieces, Barbara Gallagher, Sandra Shockey, Mary Ann Wiley and Cindy Lewis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Ltd. (204 N 4th St, Vandalia, IL 62471). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
