He was predeceased by: his father James Vance. He is survived by: his wife Lori A. Vance; his sons, Justin Vance and James Vance; his mother Jane Vance; and his siblings, Don Nanney (Cynthia), Tim Vance, Alice Vance and Amy Stephens. He is also survived by uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: Barnes-Jewish Lymphocytic Leukemia Foundation or Evelyn's House.
