He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix F. Garleb and Ella C. Garleb; and his sister Judy Melliere. He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Garleb; his sons, Kevin Garleb (Carol), Keith Garleb (Maureen) and Brian Garleb (Susanne); his grandchildren, Joshua Garleb (Krystina), Daniel Garleb, Adam Garleb, Julia Garleb (Elliot Gilfix) and Austin J. Garleb; and his great grandchild Allyana Garleb. He is also survived by sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
