He was predeceased by: his children, Duane Ahrens and Lisa F. Schmitz; his parents, Russel Ahrens and Alice Ahrens; and his brothers, Lowel "Fred" and Randy Ahrens.
He is survived by: his son Nicholas "Nick" Ahrens; his grandchildren, Chad Schmitz (Melissa), Robyn O'Daniell (Ryan), Amanda Ahrens, Danielle Magouirk (Ryan), Samantha Ahrens, Mackenzie Northam (Rayce), Ethan Rowe-Brown and Evan Rowe-Brown; his sister Kathleen Yarbrough; and his sister-in-law Lynn Ahrens. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Mary's Parish Center (116 W Woodland Ridge, Valmeyer, IL 62295).
