Helen Sveda Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 29, 2021, at the age of 101, Helen Sveda of Valier, Illinois, born in Shirley, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Berry and Nora Berry (Plumlee); her husband William "Bill" Sveda; and her siblings, Clodene Berry, Bob Berry and Tom Berry.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Menckowski (Phillip) of Benton; her stepson Mike Sveda (Kathy) of Christopher; her grandchildren, Mike Menckowski, Phillip Menckowski (Cheryl), Diana Holland (Rick), Gabe Sveda (Alicia) and Rachel Sveda-Webb (Hannah); her great grandchildren, Michael Ben Menckowski (Kristy), Kristine Reid (Thomas), Whitney Ortega (Brandon), Shawn Menckowski, Stacy Jones (Aaron), Sarah Smith (Josh), Darcy Gosha (Gavin), Colin Sveda and Landon Sveda; and her great great grandchildren, Drew, Kamryn, Carson, Brenson, Ameila, Kira, Kase, Lani and Beckham.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Veteran's Honor Flight of Southern Illinois.
