He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Varney and Rosemary Varney (Corrigan); his sisters, Sheila Schwarzbach, Colleen Huron and Loretta Varney; and his siblings-in-law, Gino, Julian, Felix Biffany, Dina Whitney (Ed) and Lucy Cunningham (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Rose Varney; his children, Krissy Diaz (Juan), Dina Baxter (Barry), Lisa Varney (Raul) and Nick Wallace (Beth); his grandchildren, Collin, Casey, Ben, Evan, Nathan, Alaina and Kylee; his great grandchild Jackson; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Wright, Marge Biffany and Kay Biffany.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Ottawa Funeral Home (1111 La Salle St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the VFW National Home for Children or to his family to be distributed to causes that were important to Thomas.
