He is survived by: his son Joseph Gerald Jansen of Peru; his stepdaughter Melony Nowatka (Dennis) of Peru; his great grandchild Ariella Nowatka of Princeton; his siblings, Margaret Martyn of Ottawa, Julie Toellen (Scott) of Geneva and Jay Jansen of Oglesby; his friends, Mark Johnson of Dalzell and Mike Dushek of Brunswick, Ohio.; and his aunt Rita Eschbach of Ottawa. He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
