He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin "Hank" Smith and Mary Louise "Lou" Smith; and his grandson Owen Ostrozovich. He is survived by: his daughter Sasha Ostrozovich (Daniel) of Chicago; and his grandchild Rosamund.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in his honor to the Starved Rock Foundation, an organization that supports the preservation of the natural beauty he so deeply cherished.
