It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Alyne Oberlies of Utica, Illinois, who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry B. "Bud" Oberlies; her son Melvin Henry Oberlies; her parents, Walter Grider and Fannie Grider; her brothers, Lerron and James Grider; her sisters-in-law, Nancy, Ann and Lavida Grider; her parents-in-law, Henry and Maggie Oberlies; and her siblings-in-law, George Oberlies, Wilson Cook, Jack Davis, Mary McDonner, Fay Davis and Margaret Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Oberlies (Debra) and Brenda Dorman; her brother Walter Lennis Grider of Utica; her grandchildren, Angie Henley (Eddie), Matt Oberlies (Erin) of Lexington and Aaron Dorman of Utica; her great grandchildren, Connor, Talon, Alton Henley of Greenville and Allison Oberlies; and her nephew Sam Grider of Utica. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
