He is survived by: his wife Charlene Muegge; his daughter Stacey Akins; his grandchildren, Alivia of Mt. Sterling, IL. and Dominic Akins of Mt. Sterling, IL.; and his sister-in-law Rosalie Terstriep (Roger). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials: The family request that memorials be made to Blessing Hospice or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
