With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willie Mae Currie of Urbana, Illinois, born in Brownsville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Ingram and Henry Vinilla Duckworth; her siblings, Geraldine Jewell Perry of Jimmy Mills, L. V and Joseph Lewis Morton; her grandchildren, Oletha Cox and Randy Johnson; her great grandchild Joseph Lewis Currie; and her children-in-law, Gwendolyn Cox Currie and Aaron King.
She is survived by: her children, Albert Lee Currie, Larry Currie (Donna), Elaine Currie, Bernice Perry and Carla Currie-King; and her grandchildren, Kimyotta James Hodges, Willie A. Currie, Star M. Freddie Page, Richard T. Lyndsey Currie, Nina R. White, Albert Lee Cox Currie Jr. and Dwayne Cox Currie. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-nephew; and a host of nieces and nephews.
