He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Carlyle and C. Raymond Carlyle; his wife Jean Adair Carlyle; and his sibling Thomas Carlyle. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Hickman (Bert) and Doug Carlyle (Peggy); his grandchildren, Lesley Ashmore (Robin), David Hickman, Jane Learing, Megan Nichols (Cory) and Sarah Carlyle (Russell); his great grandchildren, Rowan Ashmore, Ethan Hickman, Carter Hickman, Logan Hickman, Evan Learing and Annelise Nichols; his wife's children, Joan Sheppard (Jim) and Bob Wikoff (Linda); his great great grandchildren, Camrin Scott, Caden Scott, Charlie Scott, Connor Calkins, Liam Calkins, Brooks Landrum and Wren Wikoff; and also, Brian Scott (Stacey), Melissa Calkins (Will), Shannon Weatherall (Mathis), Keli Wikoff and Jacob Wikoff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
