Melony Barrett Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2020, at the age of 81, Melony Barrett (Urbana, Illinois), born in Lexington, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harrywood Gray and Elizabeth Gray (Botkin); her children, Purdy Barrett (Starlette) of Jefferson, GA and Melony E. Barrett of Urbana; her grandchildren, Angela Britt (Nathan) of Pitts, GA, Cherie Delk of Statenville, GA, Dusty Barrett (Julia) of Jefferson, GA and Victoria Barrett of Jefferson, GA; and her siblings, Ellen Schertz (Harlan) of Nixa, MO and Harrywood Gray (Mary Frances) of Bainbridge, GA. She was also cherished by four great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Melony's honor to the Urbana Free Library, WILL TV or to the Champaign County Humane Society.
