He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Gabel and Ruby Gabel (Scoby). He is survived by: his wife Joy Jewell; his sons, Jason Gabel of Urbana and Randall Gabel of Urbana; and his siblings, Leroy Martin and Darlene Martin.
