He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brandon and Hazel Brandon (Smith); his siblings, Little Mae Miles, Lee Ester Lucas, Pauline Rose and Johnny Brandon Jr.; and his former wife Louella Brandon.
He is survived by: his wife Luvenia Brandon (Rogers); his siblings, Clemmie Rucks (Lonnie), Lemmy Brandon (Bertha) and Wesley Brandon (Geraldean); his children, Bobbie Taylor, Karla Higgins, Kolette Massy-Brandon, Nick Barrett, Krista Brandon-Reed (Lavorne), Bob Barrett, Michael Rogers (Juanita), Chad Barrett (Sara), Rickey Davey and Jerry Davey; and his former wife Brenda Brandon. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in James' name to the Kingdom Hall in Danville, IL or Urbana, IL.
