It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clifford Ash of Urbana, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Ash and Ethel Ash (Nolan); and his siblings, Howard and Helen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Shelley; his daughter Christina Lynn Schable of Monticello, IL; his grandchildren, Jackson Grooms, Harrison Grooms (Codey Martin) and Leah Carpenter (Jon); and his great grandchild Hayden Martin-Grooms.

Memorials may be made the the American Diabetes Association.
