He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Kyle, Sr. and Pearl Lee Brazil-Griffin; his stepfather Von Preston Miller Griffin; and his sister Deana Marie Griffin-Pettigrew. He is survived by: the mother of his children Diane Smith; his children, Devon Maurice Kyle of Tennessee, Darmel LaTroy Smith of Illinois, Jerrod VanTwan Smith of Oregon and Shamira Renay Smith of Illinois; and his siblings, Roy Calvin Griffin (Carol), Nathan Maurice Griffin (Rose), Henry Carl Griffin (Mary Ann), Gregory Alan Griffin (Grace) and Genora Laverene Griffin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and host of other relatives and friends.
