Ethan Michael Hovey Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ethan Hovey (Urbana, Illinois), who passed away on October 27, 2018, leaving to mourn his Grandma, Papa, and his brother. He was cared for by angels and heroes; the family wishes to thank the Department of Children and Family Services, the Carle NICU staff, and the OSF Flight Crew.
Born to Mariel Hovey of Urbana, Illinois, with guardianship and care given at birth to DCFS and then to his loving grandparents. Ethan gained his wings at six days old, held in the arms of his Grandma and Papa, with Pastor Naomi Roberts and his guardian angel NICU nurse, Stefani, at his side. He was loved fiercely and cherished during his brief life; but the miracle was not to be. Ethan will be lovingly remembered and is survived by his brother Alexander Gibson; and his grandparents, Michael and Suzanne Hallihan of Urbana.
The family prays that expectant mothers struggling with issues of addiction seek help in Ethan's memory and in memory of all children lost to the effects of drug abuse during pregnancy.
