He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Halberstadt (Werts); his parents, Russel Halberstadt and Irene Halberstadt; and his brother Vernon Halberstadt. He is survived by: his children, Diana Reynolds (Sonny) of Urbana, Richard Halberstadt (Julia) of Mahomet and Pamela Cross (Jeffrey) of Urbana; and his brother Robert Halberstadt of Champaign. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Renner-Wikoff Funeral Home (1900 Philo Rd, Urbana, IL 61802). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ibew Local 601 Hall (3301 Boardwalk Dr, Champaign, IL 61822).
