Dale Meadors Obituary

Dale L. Meadors, 72, of Urbana, died at 4:14 a.m., Wednesday, April 06, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital. A reception will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Dale Leon Meadors was born February 5, 1939 in Morris, Illinois a son of Earnest and Rosemary Watkins Meadors.

He is survived by a daughter, Michele L. Meadors of Dewey; and a brother, Dean Meadors of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Meadors; and his parents. Mr. Meadors served in the Army from 1962 to 1968. He received a degree in Agriculture from the U of I. He owned Illini Scooters and Sunset Aviation.

Was a co-founder of EAA Ultra light and Illini Sky riders. He enjoyed Spelunking, white water rafting, and aviation.
