With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Spindel in Urbana, Illinois, born in Benton, Arkansas, who passed away on September 22, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Earl Cooper and Helen Cooper; her children, Carol (Tom Bassett) of Urbana and Alan of Nashville, Tennessee.; her grandchildren, Nick Bassett (Chloé Cirillo) of Houston, Becca Bassett (Nick Allen) of Hampton, Caroline Spindel and Chrissy Spindel of Nashville; her great grandchild Marlow Bassett of Houston; her siblings, Howard Cooper (Pat) of Indianapolis, Ruth Cooper of Little Rock, Jane Tolbert, Eula Ruck, Adren, Warren and Quentin Cooper; and her husband Murray.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Nonconnah Conservancy through the TennGreen Land Conservancy, or to the Spindel Philosophy Conference at the University of Memphis Foundation.
